FG to Deploy Digital Dashboard to Block Revenue Leakages

The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has unveiled plans to deploy a real-time digital revenue monitoring dashboard as part of efforts to curb revenue leakages and improve transparency in the collection and remittance of government revenues.

The commission said the initiative is designed to strengthen oversight of revenue-generating agencies, improve monitoring of remittances and support better fiscal decision-making, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that increased public revenues translate into improved infrastructure and better social services for Nigerians.

Speaking on the sidelines of a Stakeholders Strategic Retreat organised in partnership with the House of Representatives Committee on Finance in Lagos, the Chairman of RMAFC, Mohammed Bello Shehu, represented by the Federal Commissioner representing Oyo State, Kolade Daniel Abimbola, said Nigeria must shift its fiscal focus beyond revenue generation to efficient allocation and prudent management of public resources.

The retreat, themed “Beyond Collection: Revenue Mobilisation for Economic Growth – Building Strategies for Efficient Resource Allocation,” brought together policymakers and key stakeholders to discuss ways of strengthening the country’s fiscal framework.
