Sustained investors interest in Teir-1 banking tickers, ZENITHBANK (+1.42%), UBA (+2.05%), and ACCESSCORP (+1.66%), outweighing losses in OANDO (-1.98%), FBNH (-0.89%), and TOTAL (-9.74%). As a result, year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 0.64% while market capitalization gained ₦247.69bn to close at ₦63.17tn.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled higher relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions up by 45.48%. A total of 709.28m shares valued at ₦8.24bn were exchanged in 13,593 deals. CHAMS (+10.00%) led the volume chart with 58.07m units traded while FBNH (-0.89%) led the value chart with deals worth ₦492.64m.
Market breadth closed positive at a 5.73-to-1 ratio with advancing issues outnumbering the declining ones. CHAMS (+10.00%) topped sixty-two (62) others on the leader’s table while TOTAL (-9.74%) led ten (10) others on the laggard’s log.
