Housing Ministry Budgets ₦6.3b for Road Infrastructure

The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has allocated N6, 345,650,913 for road infrastructure in its 2025 executive budget, recently presented by President Bola Tinubu.

According to the budget details, the ministry’s capital expenditure for 2025 stands at N83.75bn; of this amount, N69.35bn has been earmarked for the construction and provision of fixed assets, with road infrastructure accounting for a substantial N6.3bn.

The budget revealed the ministry’s priorities across various sectors, including the construction and provision of office buildings at N11.65bn, residential buildings at N23.84bn, water facilities at N1.08bn, hospitals and health centres at N380m, public schools at N682m, and other infrastructure projects at N25.36bn.

In addition to new constructions, the budget allocated N10.37bn for rehabilitation and repairs, ensuring the longevity of existing structures.

The sum of N346m has been designated for fixed assets, covering motor vehicles at N120m, computers at N26m, and teaching and learning aid equipment at N200m.
