The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing renewable energy in Nigeria through strategic partnerships with both local and international companies.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, made the disclosure in Abuja when he received a delegation from KF Manufacturing Company, Guangzhou, China, led by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Bruce Zheng.
Akume underscored the centrality of renewable energy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery and sustainability plan, stressing that Nigeria cannot afford to lag behind in the global transition to clean energy.
In a statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the SGF, Segun Imohiosen, Akume said: “The Federal Government is opening its doors to genuine local and foreign companies with the capacity and technology to drive renewable energy projects across the country.
“This partnership will go a long way to promote efficient power to people, industries, and domestic uses.”
