The Federal Government has set its sights on a $100 billion contribution to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2030 through the rollout of landmark tourism and creative infrastructure projects.
The projects, which are expected to support the government’s target of generating about $100 billion for Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2030, included the development of a seven-star hotel, a modern entertainment and concert arena, the rehabilitation of national museums for tourism and cultural activities, and partnerships with global streaming platform Netflix to support film production, training and creative industry growth.
As part of the arrangements, Director-General, Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, Jobson Oseodion Ewalefoh, and Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa met in Abuja to discuss how to drive the projects through public-private partnerships (PPPs).
Speaking during the meeting, Ewalefoh said the Commission was ready to support and speed up the delivery of tourism infrastructure capable of transforming the sector and expanding economic activities across the country.
