The Government of the Republic of Liberia will host its inaugural Liberia–Nigeria Trade and Investment Forum on July 15, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral trade and attract investment between the two countries.
According to a statement from the organiser on Thursday, the forum, organised through the Embassy of Liberia in Nigeria and the Office of the Honorary Consul General of Liberia in Lagos, will be held in Lagos.
The event, themed “Building Bridges for Shared Prosperity: Strengthening Liberia–Nigeria Trade and Investment Partnership,” is expected to bring together government officials, investors, development partners and private sector leaders to explore trade, investment and business collaboration opportunities.
The organisers said the forum comes as African countries seek to deepen intra-African trade and investment under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
According to the statement, Nigeria’s strengths in capital mobilisation, entrepreneurship, industrial capacity and innovation, alongside Liberia’s ongoing economic reforms and infrastructure development efforts, present opportunities for stronger commercial cooperation.
